KYN61-40.5 Cost-Effective High-Voltage Switchgear

KYN61-40.5 is a 40.5 kV indoor metal-clad withdrawable switchgear, designed and manufactured in compliance with GB 3906, GB/T 11022, and IEC 62271-200 standards.

The switchgear features four independently segregated compartments: the busbar compartment, circuit breaker truck compartment, cable compartment, and secondary instrument compartment. The enclosure provides IP4X protection, while internal compartments are rated IP2X.

It is equipped as standard with a full mechanical interlocking system (five-prevention interlock) to ensure safe operation. The KYN61-40.5 is widely used in 35 kV substations, renewable energy booster stations, large industrial and mining facilities, and chemical industrial parks for main transformer power distribution applications.

The switchgear can be configured with various domestic and international vacuum circuit breaker trucks, including ZN85, ABB VD4 Vacuum Circuit Breaker, and VEP models.

• Standardized Mass-Production Cabinet Design

• The switchgear enclosure is manufactured from national-standard Aluzinc-coated steel sheets using CNC bending and assembly processes. Non-standard structural elements are minimized to improve manufacturing efficiency. It is equipped as standard with the domestically produced ZN85 vacuum circuit breaker, while major components are sourced from mature localized supply chains. This results in lower procurement costs, shorter production lead times, and outstanding cost-performance advantages for large-volume projects.

• Highly Interchangeable Withdrawable Trucks

• Circuit breaker trucks and PT (voltage transformer) trucks of the same current rating are designed with a unified modular structure, allowing interchangeability across the switchgear lineup. In the event of a fault, a truck can be quickly withdrawn and replaced, significantly reducing maintenance downtime and minimizing production losses caused by power interruptions.

• Optimized for Standard Operating Conditions

• The switchgear operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of –15°C to +40°C. Standard features include anti-condensation heaters and a mechanical five-prevention interlocking system, ensuring compliance with industrial power distribution acceptance requirements without the need for additional upgrades or modifications.

• Flexible Incoming and Outgoing Feeder Arrangements

• Both cable-fed and overhead line-fed configurations are available. The primary circuit schemes are streamlined and optimized to eliminate unnecessary components, reducing equipment investment while maintaining reliable system performance.
