KYN61-40.5 Grid-Connection Standard High-Voltage Switchgear
KYN61-40.5 is a 40.5 kV indoor metal-clad withdrawable switchgear, designed and manufactured in compliance with GB 3906, GB/T 11022, and IEC 62271-200 standards.
The switchgear features four independently segregated compartments: the busbar compartment, circuit breaker truck compartment, cable compartment, and secondary instrument compartment. The enclosure provides IP4X protection, while internal compartments are rated IP2X.
It is equipped as standard with a full mechanical interlocking system (five-prevention interlock) to ensure safe operation. The KYN61-40.5 is widely used in 35 kV substations, renewable energy booster stations, large industrial and mining facilities, and chemical industrial parks for main transformer power distribution applications.
The switchgear can be configured with various domestic and international vacuum circuit breaker trucks, including ZN85, ABB VD4 Vacuum Circuit Breaker, and VEP models.

Enhanced Dual-Layer Anti-Corrosion Cabinet Construction
The enclosure is manufactured using thickened Aluzinc-coated steel sheets combined with a dual-layer epoxy electrostatic powder coating system with a coating thickness of ≥75 μm. The surface treatment has successfully passed a 500-hour neutral salt spray test, providing excellent resistance to coastal salt-laden environments, chemical plant acid and alkali vapors, and other corrosive atmospheres. This ensures long-term protection against rust, corrosion, and coating degradation.
Pollution-Resistant Insulation System
All busbar bushings and insulation support components are manufactured from V-0 flame-retardant, pollution-resistant epoxy resin materials. The insulation system features increased creepage distances to enhance resistance against moisture-induced tracking, dust contamination, and flashover breakdown, making it ideal for heavily polluted industrial environments.
Upgraded Sealed Dustproof Protection
The switchgear is equipped with reinforced rubber door sealing gaskets and fire-resistant cable sealing materials in the cable compartment. The protection level can be upgraded to IP44, effectively preventing the ingress of dust, moisture, and corrosive vapors. In addition, a full-cabinet intelligent heating and dehumidification system is provided as standard to maintain a stable internal environment and prevent condensation.
Reinforced Anti-Vibration and Seismic Design
The cabinet frame is strengthened with a reinforced structural design, while the operating mechanisms utilize heavy-duty springs, stainless-steel hinges, and durable locking components. The switchgear is designed to meet Seismic Intensity Level 8 requirements, making it suitable for applications subject to mining vibrations, metallurgical heavy-load operating conditions, and other high-vibration environments. Reliable operation is maintained even under frequent switching and prolonged mechanical stress.
